Laying the first brick
Today First Brick has a name, a website and a plan. It does not yet have a bank account, a wallet or a single donation, and that is on purpose.
Why start this way
The crypto industry is good at two things charity often struggles with: moving money across borders cheaply, and keeping records anyone can check. We want to use both for children in Southeast Asia, starting with learning and growing, step by step, toward classrooms and schools.
What happens next
Between now and January we will write the foundation's charter, invite advisers, look for a first local partner already working with children, and prepare the paperwork to register as a nonprofit. We will only open giving once that is done.
What we will not do
We will not run orphanage visits or short trips to play with children. We will not post photos taken without a guardian's consent. And we will not ask anyone to send crypto to an address until it is published on our transparency page.
If you'd like to follow along, or help with a skill you already have, join the founding circle.
