The basics to check when you look at a blockchain project
These are the basic items for getting a quick picture of a project when you're considering working with it or marketing it. This is not investment advice or an evaluation, just a list of questions to ask.
Token supply and lockups
- What share of total supply is circulating now
- When the team and investor allocations unlock
- Whether the unlock schedule matches between the official docs and the on-chain record
Exchange liquidity
- Which exchanges list it, and whether there's a KRW market
- Order book depth: how far the price moves on an order of a given size
- Whether volume is concentrated on a single exchange
On-chain usage
- Trends in real users (active addresses) and transaction counts
- If there's TVL, what the deposited assets are
- How concentrated the top wallets are
Sources
Cross-check official docs, block explorers (Etherscan, Solscan and others) and aggregators (CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, DefiLlama). Don't trust a single source's numbers.
